Torqway's idea was born in 2009. Then there were the first drawings of the drive mechanism and the vehicle, the first prototypes. Over time, the idea took on more and more real shapes and thoughts emerged as to what to do with it. In 2014, Torqway was founded and the first product was created - a manual vehicle - Torqway Sport. When we went with him to the world, to the fairs to the United States, Switzerland and Taiwan, it turned out that it was a bull's-eye, which during these events was awarded gold medals for innovation. This prompted us to further develop the idea and this is how the Torqway Hybrid concept was created - a vehicle for personal mobility with manual-electric drive, which is the only one in the world that combines the most desirable features of electric vehicles, bicycles and Nordic walking.

The Torqway Hybrid project was financed in 2017-2020 by the European Union under the European Research and Innovation Program Horizon 2020, contract number 778154.

Beata Paszke-Sobolewska

A graduate of the Faculty of Economic Sciences and Management at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń and post-graduate studies in tax law (UMK) and passive construction (Poznań University of Technology). In the years 1994–1999 she was an Import Specialist at Toruń Zakłady Materiałów Opatracyjnych S.A. He has 20 years of experience in running companies, among others president of the board Intelink Sp. z o.o. responsible for the construction of radio and optotelecommunication networks (1999 - 2009), president of the board of Metallink Sp. z o.o. dealing in the construction of mechanical devices (since 2009). He is also the CEO of Torqway. She implemented the Torqway Hybrid project supported by EU funding from the SME II Phase EUR 2.2 million competition. Women's Entrepreneurship Ambassador - Polish Network of Women's Ambassadors. Has experience in running innovative technology companies, obtaining external investment funds and in conducting EU projects from the application stage to the end of the project and its settlement.



Andrzej Sobolewski

A graduate of the Faculty of Working Machines and Vehicles of the Poznań University of Technology, specializing in Rail Vehicles. For 35 years associated with Toruń Zakłady Materiałów Opatracyjnych S.A. as the Chief Designer and Head of the Machine Building Department. The creator of several hundred machines and devices in the dressing and hygiene materials industry. Owner of several patents. He manages a team of several dozen engineers, mechanics, electronics and electricians. His machines work in several companies belonging to TZMO SA in Poland, Russia, Ukraine and India. Winner of the 'Creators of Innovation' 2014 award.

Łukasz Darka

He graduated from sociology and political science at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń and managerial studies at the Warsaw School of Economics. Specializes in introducing new products to the market. Since 2010, he has introduced a total of 15 product lines and over 100 products to markets throughout Europe in the industrial sector (heating technology, window shutters), in the FMCG sector (breakfast products, alcohols) and in the field of e-mobility (Torqway). He gained experience, among others, in international corporations: Nestle, Riello Group, Schoenberger Group, Sims Metal Management. He specializes in product and corporate communication and marketing as well as in Public Relations. In addition, he led projects related to product commercialization: seeking investors and distributors in Poland and worldwide, cooperation with B2B partners, negotiations and business networking. He advises companies on creating and implementing business and communication strategies, conducts trainings in the field of self-presentation, communication, marketing and image building.

We are currently planning next vehicles from the Torqway family, all equipped with our innovative mechanism: Torqway Active, Torqway City and Torqway Sport. Also, a line of sports accessories will be signed with the Torqway mark.
